You can open Emacs with many startup options. In this article, we will only open this text editor in a Linux shell terminal.

Order:

-nwStands for no window. This is a flag/option that prevents the Emacs text editor from opening without any intersecting windows.

There is a large format emacs -nwcommand.

emacs --no-window-system

If you need to open this text editor, including a file, you can use the following command.
