We use lsb_release -acommand to display the information of Ubuntu installed in our system.

It will print the information of Ubuntu installed in our system.

As can be seen from the description, the version of Ubuntu installed in our system is 18.04.4 LTS.

If we only want to know the version of Ubuntu, we can use lsb_release -dthe command to display only the description line.

lsb_release -d

/etc/issueCheck Ubuntu version using the file

/etc/issueThe file contains the system identification details of Ubuntu. The contents of this file can catbe displayed using the command.
